These tracks come from the professionally produced data base that the Chorale purchased a couple of years ago. For ease of study, they divide the choral finale into six arbitrary sections.
Section 1 Starts at measure 230 with the last seven measures of the bass solo and stops at measure 330
Section 2 is for men only. It's a TTB section. I'm not sure how Mary Lee will divide up the men but Baritones may have to look at the "Tenor" album if they are singing the Tenor 2 line. This section starts at measure 407 four measures before the men's entrance and stops at measure 431
Section 3 Starts at measure 531 two measures before the chorus entrance and stops at measure 626
Section 4 Starts at measure 627 and ends at measure 762
Section 5 Starts at measure 763 and stops at measure 842
Section 6 Starts at measure 843 and goes to the end.
Sadly, there are no measure numbers marked in Schirmer score I got from Mary so here's how to find those spots:
Section 1 begins on page 8 of our score with the Bass soloist. Sopranos don't actually begin singing until the top of page 14. (Someone has penciled in a "rehearsal E" symbol in my book at that spot. There are some more solos on pgs 15-17 and then sopranos sing again on page 18. Section 1 ends at the bottom of page 20.
Section 2 begins on page 21 and goes to page 28. The chorus comes in on page 23. Just the men, you know.
Section 3 begins on page 29 and ends (abruptly) at the bottom of page 37
Section 4 begins on page 38 and ends on page 55.
Section 5 begins with solos on page 56 and the chorus comes in on page 59 (Please note that the top system on 59 and 60 is for the soloists and the bottom system is for the chorus. ) We really stop singing on page 64 but the soloists continue another page and a half in this section so it ends at the bottom of 65.
Section 6 begins on page 66 and goes to the end.
You will hear a piano reduction of the symphonic score (what you see in your music) played in the background and your part played louder in the foreground. There is also a metronome beat.
The last track is Ulla speaking the words you will be singing to help you with the pronunciation. This track was re-recorded on 7/9/18 slower and with more separation. We also added a track where she says some particularly tricky words by themselves so you can hear them clearly.
You can fast forward and rewind within a track by dragging the moving line back and forth. Click the pause button on the album cover to stop playback.
