Things I don’t know:
Whether Mary Lee is planning to do the beginning with a soloist. We’ve put the notes in both the lady’s parts in case she has the whole choir sing it.
How fast she’s really going to take it. I tried it with the tempos indicated in the score and it goes pretty fast so I slowed it down for learning purposes. She may speed it back up even though it still clicks along.
Things I do know:
Idina Menzel has chops.
To listen to a track, just click on the line you want to hear. To stop, click the pause button on the album cover. You can “fast forward” or '“rewind” a track buy dragging the moving line to the right or left. If you’d like to save a track to your computer for use off line, right click on the line and choose “save as” and then respond to the box that pops up.

Defying Gravity
There are several recordings of our arrangement on YouTube but I can’t say I’m really wild about any of them.
This one uses the solo beginning and I’m not a fan of the soloist. And they have a band that pretty much overpowers the choir. They get very shout-y at the expense of pitch.
The Islip kids are pretty good and they do without the solo. I’m not sure what’s going on with that weird instrument in the band.
As usual, BYU sings it beautifully. Too bad it’s the SSA arrangement.
The way it’s supposed to go with Idina and Kristin.
